Walkthrough

BDR Weekly:

Use this agenda to support your weekly meeting with each BDR. The primary focus of the meeting should be coaching and development.

How was your week?

Give them a chance to reflect on their own performance and share that with you. Could be work related, but could also be personal. In either case you want to create a safe place to share and build your relationship.

Dashboard Review

Review their activity and results from the previous week - include a link to your report in the agenda. Ask open ended questions about why the numbers are what they are, whether good or bad. This is an opportunity to uncover opportunities for coaching.

Call Review

Have your BDR choose a call to review - they can add a link to the recording (ex. Gong, Chorus) to the agenda. This is a chance for them to get feedback on something they think went well or poorly. You want to encourage continuous improvement so make this a positive learning experience.

What is one thing you are going to try next week?

Make it practical and actionable. Trying one new thing every week is bound to improve your results. Be sure to track it as a next step and follow up on what happened in your next meeting.

Do you have any questions about our strategy/product/company?

One of the best things you can do is help provide context. Make sure that you are giving your team a chance to ask questions and learn. Having deeper context on strategy and goals will make them better in every interaction.

What is one thing that you want to get better at? How can I help?

We can all get better at something. Let your team tell you what they want to learn. This will make your investment in them have more impact and put them in the driver’s seat on their development and career.

What is the next role you are aiming for?

They are thinking about it anyway, so better to have an open conversation about it.
